ZAGREB, May 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament is to hold a formal
session tomorrow to mark the 50th anniversary of the victory of the
Anti-Fascist Coalition in World War II.
The session will be addressed by Parliament speaker Nedjeljko
Mihanovic.
A delegation of the Committee for marking the 50th anniversary
of the victory of the Anti-Fascist Coalition will lay wreaths at
the Altar of the Croatian Homeland at Medvedgrad, a medieval castle
on Mount Medvednica overlooking Zagreb.
They will lay wreaths at the graves of Vladimir Nazor, the
Croatian poet, partisan and first president of the anti-fascist
government of Croatia during World War II, and General Ivan
Rukavina, the commander of the Croatian Liberation Army.
Wreaths will also be laid at the 'Wall of Pain' which has been
erected in front of the UN headquarters in Zagreb in memory of the
people who have fallen and gone missing during Serbian aggression
against Croatia.
The delegation will lay wreaths in honour of all victims at
the site of a World War II concentration camp at Jasenovac in the
recently liberated region of western Slavonia.
