GENEVA, may 4 (Hina) - The Co-Chairmen of the International
Conference on Former Yugoslavia today in Geneva issued a special
statement saying that "they were pleased to announce that both Mr.
Sarinic and Mr. Mikelic had accepted their invitation to meet in
Geneva".
Lord David Owen and Thorvald Stoltenberg on Wednesday invited
Croatian Government representatives and Croatian Serb
representatives to discuss under their chairmanship 'an overall
peaceful settlement'.
They also announced that 'political, economic and military
questions' would be discussed.
The co-chairmen of the International Conference suggested that
the meeting be held on Friday, but their statement today said that
the meeting would not be held on Friday. Negotiations on a mutually
convenient date were continuing.
