PAKRACKA POLJANA, April 10 (Hina) - Several dozen people today
held a peaceful protest at a UN check point near Pakracka
Poljana, at the northwestern entrance into former UN Sector West,
demanding that UN troops leave the Croatian government-controlled
area of former Sector West.
"There are a lot of people living in the area who cross the
check point several times a day and every time they are inspected
by UN personnel. We want this to stop and we believe this can be
achieved now that the UNPAs (UN Protected Areas) no longer
exist," said Cecilija Baric of the "Rampart of Love" association.
The demonstration was organized by the Pakrac branches of
the "Rampart of Love" and the Union of Parents of Croatian
Soldiers Killed in War.
