SARAJEVO April 8 (Hina) - The Kasindolska road, linking Sarajevo
with its airport, has been reopened for UN vehicles from 2 p.m.
today.
UN Protection Force and Bosnian Serb forces agreed the terms
of using this road, the UN Sarajevo sector spokeswoman Miriam
Sohacko said. The agreement on SIERA-4 checkpoint allowed the Serbs
to check passengers' documents and to "visually examine" the cargo,
meaning they wouldn't be allowed the entrance into nor the detailed
search of vehicles.
Ten French peacekeepers were to be deployed on the check-
point, in order to prevent further attempts of robbing or capturing
UN soldiers.
UNPROFOR agreed to keep only one armoured personnel carrier at
the check-point instead of four being there so far.
Considering this morning's shooting at a cargo aircraft,
Sohacko said it had been hit with ten 7.62mm bullets. But the
investigation hasn't still found out which side was responsible,
she added.
