MOSTAR, April 6 (Hina) - Herzeg-Bosnia's government today discussed
countermeasures it would launch as of May 1 if the Bosnian Moslem-
led government continued to disregard an earlier agreement that
Herzeg-Bosnia-issued licence plates were also legally valid, a
statement from the session said.
Last year the Bosnian goverment demanded from the neighbouring
countries to recognize as valid only the licence plates issued by
the Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
However, the two federal partners agreed to recognize the
legal validity of all existing plates until new federal signs were
adopted.
Drivers with Herzeg-Bosnia plates complained they had problems
with traffic police in some parts of Austria and that many hauliers
had suffered significant losses.
