BOSNIAN CROAT DEFENCE OFFICIALS ON BLOCKAGE OF CONVOY WITH GENERAL

GENERAL $ S MOSTAR, SARAJEVO, March 31 (Hina) - A group of high military delegates of Croatia and Herceg-Bosnia who were stranded in their vehicles for more than an hour because of snow storms, have now continued their journey thanks to the efforts of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) and UNPROFOR, the Bosnian Defence ministry said in a statement. The HVO and HV (Croatian Army) delegates, along with escorts returned on March 29 from a meeting with Bosnian Army delegates in Travnik, central Bosnia. The HV delegates were led by Croatian Army chief-of-staff Janko Bobetko and the HVO delegation was head by its chief-of-staff Tihomir Blaskic, and the Bosnian Army delegation was led by its chief commander general Rasim Delic. Generals Bobetko and Blaskic have returned with their delegation of officials, the statement said. Engineering units were still clearing the snow capped streets Prozor-Tomislavgrad. The Bosnian Croat defense ministry said certain world agencies had issued incorrect news items about the event, and one of them reported allegedly on "disappearance of one of the three Generals in the convoy." An UNPROFOR spokesman, Herve Gourmelon, said in Sarajevo this morning that the convoy with the HV and HVO delegations had been blocked on March 29 at the Prozor-Tomislavgrad road because of the drifted snow. Gourmelon said that Bosnian General Delic, who had earlier participated in the Travnik meeting, was not in that convoy, while Generals Bobetko and Blaskic were heading for Tomislavgrad, southwestern Bosnia. 311549 MET mar 95
