GENEVA, March 3 (Hina) - The UN Human Rights Commmission today
adopted a Resolution on special procedures for looking for missing
persons in former Yugoslavia.
The Resolution was drafted by the Croatian delegation in
cooperation with Bosnian representatives, and was sponsored by 38
countries.
The Resolution supports the first report by Professor Manfred
Nowak, who is in charge of missing persons in former Yugoslavia,
and expresses gratitude to Croatian and Bosnian Governments for
their open and successful cooperation with the UN officials.
The Resolution calls on the government of Yugoslavia (Serbia
and Montenegro) to cooperate and give access to relevant
documentation.
Yugoslavia has so far obstructed Nowak's mission.
