PAKRAC, Feb 7 (Hina) - Representatives of 3,000 Croatian refugees
from UNPA West today asked UNPROFOR to make it possible for them to
visit their homes in the occupied area, the UN spokeswoman in
Sector West, Susan Manuel told reporters today.
The Croatian refugees pointed out that Serbs from the occupied
areas could visit their houses on the free territory, Manuel said.
UN Civilian Affairs Coordinator Hassan Al Alfi will inform the
Serbs of this request at a meeting on Thursday, she said.
The dispute over water supply facilities in the disengagement
zone has not been resolved and will be passed on for talks between
Croatian Government and Knin Serb representatives, at the highest
level, she said.
The Zagreb-Slavonski Brod railway was being cleared of mines
by four mine-sweeping crews, Manuel said.
The mine-sweeping will take about a week, after which
repairing crews will start working on the railway lines and other
facilities.
