ZAGREB, Jan 31 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman this
morning received German Foreign Minister Klaus Kinkel.
They discussed the UNPROFOR mandate in Croatia and the
situation in the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the city of
Mostar.
"The German government and I find the (Croatia's) decision
to cancell the UNPROFOR mandate a mistake," Kinkel told reporters
after the talks.
Kinkel said he asked the Croatian president to do all he
could to help European Union efforts in Mostar.
He expressed fear that the situation in the Moslem-Croat
federation in Bosnia-Herzegovina might develop in an unfavourable
direction.
Kinkel said he was travelling to Sarajevo today to express
support to the Bosnian government and to boost further Contact
Group efforts to get the Serbs to accept the peace plan.
Earlier this morning Kinkel had also met UN special envoy
Yasushi Akashi.
