NICOSIA, Jan 24 (Hina) - Croatian ambassador Davorin Rudolf today
delivered his credentials to Cyprian President, Glafkos Klerides.
Rudolf, who is based in Rome, is the first Croatian ambassador
to be accredited in Cyprus.
They discussed the international situation and bilateral
relations, with particular emphasis on the respective efficiency
and role of UN forces in Croatia and in Cyprus, where peace-keepers
were deployed along 'green lines' twenty years ago, freezing the
island's division in two.
Ambassador Rudolf explained Croatia's decision to end the
UNPROFOR mandate.
Also present was Cyprian Foreign Minister Alekos Mihaelides.
