TUZLA, Dec 10 (Hina) - The first stage of destruction of arms
surplus possessed by the Bosnian Army second corps is under way.
The Bosnian Army second corps was expected to destroy 264 pieces of
weaponry at this stage by December 13, its public relations office
reported on Tuesday.
First pieces of arms were dismantled on Monday at a barracks,
in Tuzla, northeastern Bosnia, in presence of IFOR officials and
inspection teams of all armies in the area of the former
Yugoslavia.
All signatories to the Dayton peace accords committed
themselves to arms reduction.
According to figures expressed by the corps, Bosnian Serb
armed force should destroy 363 tanks, 182 armoured carriers, 200
pieces of artillery arms and great quantities of light weapons.
