SARAJEVO, Dec 4 (Hina) - A shipment of U.S. arms, that has been
delivered to Bosnia-Herzegovina as the United States' contribution
to the 'Equip and Train' programme, arrived at a Hadzici warehouse
of the Army of the Croat-Moslem Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Five tanks and ten armoured personnel carriers were
transported by train at Hadzici (southwest of Sarajevo), escorted
by military police of the Bosnian Croat armed force (HVO) and
Bosnian Army.
Present at the unloading of the weapons were Federation
Premier Izudin Kapetanovic and General Sakib Mahmuljen, who is the
candidate of the Moslem (Bosniak) side for a deputy to the defence
minister replacing Hasan Cengic who had to resign due to the
American pressure.
General Mahmuljen told reporters at Hadzici that the unloading
of a ship, that transported arms from the United Arab Emirates to
the Croatian port of Ploce, was expected to begin soon. He added
that a ship with arms for the Bosnian Federation had left Egypt on
Wednesday as well.
