SPLIT, Dec 8 (Hina) - The Split-based Franciscan Institute of
Culture of Peace drew up a "Celebration is Not Shooting" project
aimed at dissuading people from using guns and explosive devices
before and during the Christmas holidays.
The institute printed 30,000 posters and 60,000 leaflets as
part of the project with messages how to celebrate Christmas in
Christian tradition. The posters and leaflets have been distributed
to all primary and secondary schools and Catholic parishes
throughout Croatia as well as to all Catholic parishes in Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
They were printed with financial help of Croatian Roman-
Catholic Bishops' Conference, Croatian Ministries of Education and
Interior Affairs, the Croatian Caritas relief agency, the
'Medjugorje-Mir' religious and humanitarian society, and the Zagreb
graphic secondary school.
