UNIDENTIFIED ASSAILANT HIJACKS URBAN DEVELOPMENT MINISTRY CAR

TUZLA, Dec 5 (Hina) - A vehicle was peacefully driving along the Serb entity section of the Tuzla-Orasje road at 17.00 hours on Tuesday, when it was attacked by an unidentified assailant. The "Ford Sierra" was carrying members of the Bosnian Federation Urban Development Ministry. Threatening the driver with a gun, the unidentified assailant hijacked the vehicle and drove off in an unknown direction, the Tuzla Security Centre said in a statement on Thursday. According to information from the driver, who had run off into the woods to spend the night, there had been another two Ministry officials in the car. The Tuzla-based International Police Task Force (IPTF) office said that the unidentified hijacker had left the two other persons on the road, who in turn reported the theft at the first IFOR check-point. Some time later, international police drove them to Srebrenik.
