ZAGREB, Nov 29 (Hina) - The Independent Union of Croatian Railways
on Friday called strikers to return to work.
"From the Prime Minister's statement, it is obvious that no
salary compensation will be paid for the days spent striking," the
Union said in a statement.
The Union called on the Transport Ministry and the Croatian
Railways management to "organise for Railway workers who so wished
to return to work" if the strike did not end by December 1.
The Retired Railwaymen's Association criticised the strike as
"unjustified" and "harmful to Railways employees and the whole of
Croatia."
The Split Port workers also criticised the strike, which has
"stopped the flow of goods to Adriatic Ports."
