The SZH is on strike alone. Other Croatian railways unions
are not taking part in the strike. The SZH gathers some 11,000
members, which makes one half of all Croatian Railways' employees,
Pavletic said.
Only 20% of trains will travel during the strike.
International passenger trains, local border trains, trains for
transport of oil derivatives and defence purposes and some other
local trains are in service since the beginning of the strike.
'I believe that the strike will not last long and that
serious negotiations about our requests will take place', Pavletic
said. SZH's main requests concern the signing of a collective
agreement and the fulfillment of all obligations from the Croatian
Railways Labour Relations by-laws.
