ZAGREB, Nov 28 (Hina) - The Independent Trade Union of Croatian
Railways, on Thursday cautioned again that a strike could have bad
effects on all Croatian Railways (HŽ) employees and called them to
continue to work.
This union advised the Croatian Railmen's Union, the only
union out of nine in the HŽ company, which has began the strike, to
call off it, as its members could lose much and get hardly anything
by the work stoppage.
"We, just like other unions, believe that the Railmen's Union
(SŽH) has gone on strike only because it has began to lose its
position," the Independent Union said adding that the SŽH had
recently faced a decrease in a number of its members.
