SARAJEVO, Nov 23 (Hina) - The office of the international high
representative overseeing the implementation of the peace agreement
in Bosnia-Herzegovina said on Saturday that it expected progress in
negotiations this weekend on establishing a Council of Ministers.
Until the next session of the three-man Bosnian Presidency,
due to take place on Tuesday, the office would step up diplomatic
efforts to reach a solution acceptable to all parties, spokesman
Colum Murphy told a news conference in Sarajevo.
The office believed that all parties were aware of the need
for a compromise as soon as possible. This was also the basis of
optimistic estimates that a solution could be reached in the next
two days, Murphy said, adding that surprises could not be ruled
out.
