GRAZ, Nov 8 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa and
Foreign minister Mate Granic are to hold a line of bilateral talks
in Graz on Friday and Saturday, when a two-day conference of the
Central European Initiative (CEI) is taking place. #L#
Matesa and Granic are heading a Croatian delegation to the
regular annual conference of prime ministers and foreign ministers
of CEI member countries.
The talks are to focus on CEI's role in European integration
processes, its contribution in the implementation of the Dayton
peace agreement, its efforts in the organization of the
reconstruction of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia, CEI's
contribution to the stability and security in the region in
cooperation with OSCE, Council of Europe and the UN Economy
Commission, as well as its cooperation with other regional
organizations such as the Baltic Council for Cooperation and the
Montenegro Organization for Economic Cooperation.
Croatia is interested in institutionalizing cooperation within
the framework of CEI in order to distance itself from a regional
approach of the European Union and for its independent
participation in European Integration Processes.
