SARAJEVO, 6 Nov (Hina) - The mandates of all 64 representatives who were elected by the assemblies of ten Bosnian cantons to the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina Assembly's House of Peoples were confirmed at the first session of the
House of Peoples which was held in Sarajevo on Wednesday.
SARAJEVO, 6 Nov (Hina) - The mandates of all 64 representatives who
were elected by the assemblies of ten Bosnian cantons to the
Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina Assembly's House of Peoples were
confirmed at the first session of the House of Peoples which was
held in Sarajevo on Wednesday. #L#
The House of Peoples includes 30 representatives of each the
Croat and Bosniac peoples and four representatives of other
nationalities. After they took solemn oaths, the representatives
elected five Croat and five Bosniac representatives to the House of
Peoples of the Assembly of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Mariofil Ljubic, former president of the Constituent Assembly,
was appointed chairman of the Federation Parliament House of
Peoples. Mirsad Ceman, secretary-general of the leading Muslim
Party of Democratic Action (SDA), was appointed Ljubic's deputy.
The House of Peoples also accepted a proposal for the
Federation's flag and coat-of-arms and an act on the Federation's
flag and coat-of-arms.
The House of Peoples also sent a message to the Croatian
Government and state leadership with congratulations on Croatia's
admission to the Council of Europe.
