SDA PARTY ELECTS SARAJEVO CANTON HEAD WITHOUT HDZ, OPPOSITION DEPU

DEPU $ TIES SARAJEVO, Oct 21 (Hina) - The Moslem-led Party of Democratic Action (SDA) held a Sarajevo Canton session on Monday without Croatian Democratic Union's (HDZ) and the Joint List for Bosnia- Herzegovina's opposition parties' deputies to elect Midhat Karacic and Mirsad Kebo as the Sarajevo Canton head and the Sarajevo Canton Assembly chairman respectively. However, the Sarajevo assembly could not name deputies to the Moslem-Croat Federation's House of Nations, the Canton head's deputy and the assembly vice-chairman without HDZ and Joint List members. HDZ members did not appear at Monday's session, as the SDA party had refused some suggestions on the organization of the city of Sarajevo during inter party talks. Joint List members did not want to attend the session, as the session's agenda did not include issues on election of the Sarajevo Canton head's deputy and the Canton Assembly vice-chairman.
