ZAGREB, Oct 15 (Hina) - "Scottish Days", a two-week cultural
event which opened in Zagreb on Monday, has been the British
Council's most ambitious project in Croatia since it gained
independence, British Council director Ian Stewart said on
Tuesday.
The aim of the event, organized in cooperation with the
Croatian Ministry of Culture, is to build strong ties for
cooperation between Croatia and Scotland, which have a lot in
common, Stewart said.
The event, due to close on November 8, will present Scottish
musicians, painters and poets. Three Scottish films are scheduled
to be shown.
Seminars will be held on the cultural and economic
development of towns, festivals and business education in
Scotland.
