ZAGREB, Oct 9 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on
Wednesday received the mayor of the southern Bosnian town of
Mostar, Ivan Prskalo, who informed him about the situation in the
town after elections.
Prskalo stressed the determination of the Croat side to
adhere to Croat-Moslem agreements on Mostar and the Washington
and Dayton accords, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Granic informed the guest about positive responses of the
international community to Croatia's role in the implementation
of the agreements on Mostar, the transformation of institutions
of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Herceg-Bosnia into the institutions of
the Croat-Moslem Federation and the successful conduct of
September elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Croatia would remain firmly committed to the policy which
guaranteed the preservation and equality of the Croats in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Granic said.
Granic stressed that Croatia would give preference to
strengthening the Bosnian Federation and linking it with Croatia.
