in the Serb-controlled Banja Luka area following the recent elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Thursday held talks with Roman Catholic Bishop of Banja Luka
(northwestern Bosnia) Franjo Komarica.
Minister Granic and Bishop Komarica talked about the position
of Croats in the Serb-controlled Banja Luka area following the
recent elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina. #L#
The Bishop pointed out the continued hard times for Croats in
the area and said the help of the Republic of Croatia was still
much needed.
Granic told Komarica that after the establishment of
institutions of authority in line with Bosnian election results,
Croatia would open a consulate general in Banja Luka, a task of
which would be to take care of Croats in the area.
Present at the Zagreb talks was Croatian President's advisor
on humanitarian issues, Slobodan Lang, the Croatian Foreign
Ministry said.
