PRISTINA, Oct 5 (Hina) - The Serbian media on Saturday published a
statement of the Serbian Interior Ministry on the arrest of two
Albanian terrorists from Kosovo, the south Serbian province with
the majority of Albanian population, whose autonomy Serb President
Slobodan Milosevic rescinded in 1987.
According to the statement, the arrested Besim Rama and Avni
Nura killed three policemen and one civilian and wounded seven
policemen in terrorist attacks between 1993 and mid 1996 "as
members of an organized terrorist group."
The statement also says that the police were "undertaking
extensive measures to identify the remaining members of the
terrorist group."
Sources in Kosovo have so far not made any statements
concerning the arrest of the two Albanians from Kosovo.
The families of the two arrested last week informed the Kosovo
Committee for the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms that
unknown persons had kidnapped Rama and Nura.
