Present at the meeting were also deputy prime minister Ivica
Kostovic, Interior Minister Ivan Jarnjak, Presidential deputy
chief-of-staff Vesna Skare Ozbolt, deputy foreign minister Ivan
Simonovic, head of the government Office of the temporary
administration for the establishment of Croatian authority in
eastern Slavonia, Baranja and western Srijem Ivica Vrkic.
Matesa informed Klein about the final text of the Bill on
amnesty and about the Croatian government's request that the
elections in the Croatian Danubian area be held in mid-December
1996 and in accordance to the 1991 census.
The talks also focused on the continuation of financing of the
Transitional Administration and speeding up of the process of
issuing Croatian documents.
It was agreed that all personal and transport vehicles would
enter the area under the transitional administration with Croatian
registration plates.
