ZAGREB, Sept 19 (Hina) - President Franjo Tudjman on Thursday
received a delegation of the Croatian Customs Administration on
the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the
customs service in the independent Croatian State, the
President's Office said in a statement.
Tudjman was presented with a book of the customs laws of the
Dubrovnik Republic, passed in 1277.
The President was informed about the operation of the
customs service, the construction of customs facilities at border
crossings, a programme of employing demobilized soldiers in the
customs service, a plan for entry of the Croatian customs service
into the UN-administered area, the organization of seminars, and
cooperation with customs services from the neighbouring
countries.
The meeting was attended by included Presidential Chief of
Staff Ivo Sanader, Home Policy Adviser Ivic Pasalic, Economic
Affairs Adviser Darko Grguric.
The Customs Administration delegation included Finance
Minister Bozo Prka, Customs Administration Director Josip Knezic
and his assistant Anton Uljar.
