ZAGREB, Sept 14 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on
Saturday received U.S. Ambassador to Croatia Peter Galbraith and
expressed deep regret on the part of the Croatian government
regarding the International Criminal Tribunal's evaluation that the
Rajic (Bosnian Croat indited of war crimes) case was about a
conflict of international character in which Croatia was involved
too, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It was Croatia that, on the basis of the 1992 Agreement on
Friendship and Cooperation, helped Bosnia-Herzegovina most during
the war in defending itself from the aggression, Granic said and
added that, with the Washington and Split Declaration, it created
preconditions to end the long-standing conflict and for the signing
of the Dayton Agreement.
Today's talks also focused on the peaceful reintegration of
the Croatian Danubian area and the course of elections in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, the statement concluded.
