Croatian President Franjo Tudjman for their contribution and sacrifice in the homeland war.
SLAVONSKI BROD, Sept 4 (Hina) - One hundred and eight Croatian
soldiers, members of all Croatian army brigades and police from the
Slavonski Brod County with 60 or more percent of invalidity on
Wednesday received medals from the Croatian President Franjo
Tudjman for their contribution and sacrifice in the homeland war.

The ceremony was attended by senior military and police
officials among others.
The soldiers were presented with the medals by the Croatian
President's envoy Brigadier Marinko Kresic.
Commending and thanking them for everything they had done to
defend and create the Croatian state, on behalf of Croatian
President Franjo Tudjman and Defense Minister Gojko Susak, Kresic
said, "you have created the foundation for the Croatian army and
the Croatian statehood and have given a basis for the homeland that
we have today. With this you have fulfilled your promise to your
homeland, and the Croatian state will now fulfill its promise to
you".
