MOSTAR, Aug 30 (Hina) - An explosion took place near the Franciscan
monastery in Mostar at 22.25 hours on Thursday, spokesman for the
West-European police in Mostar Haward Fox said on Friday, adding
that there had been no casualties or damage.
West-European policemen heard the explosion at their
headquarters, several hundred metres from the monastery. Three
joint police patrols immediately reached the site and determined
that the explosion had been caused by a hand-made bomb, which had
been used during the conflict, Fox said, adding that the case was
being investigated.
