ZAGREB, Aug 29 (Hina) - At a session held on Thursday at which
Foreign Minister Mate Granic presented his report, the Croatian
Government accepted a Report on the normalisation of relations
between Croatia and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, which was
signed on 23 August. #L#
By the Agreement, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
recognised the Republic of Croatia as an independent, sovereign
and equal state in its internationally recognised borders.
'The Agreement has created a framework for economic and
all other forms of cooperation between the two states, and it
also has provided a solution to the problem of reintegration of
the Croatian Danubian area as well as to the most difficult
humanitarian issue - the issue of missing, imprisoned and
abducted persons. The Agreement has created conditions for the
return of all displaced persons and refugees', Granic said.
By the Agreement, Croatia had gained control over all of
its territory, Premier Zlatko Matesa said.
At today's session, the Government also accepted a
regulation on a monthly 100 kuna supplement for August pensions,
which will be paid in September.
The government also adopted a report on the situation in
Croatia's business banking, which, it was stressed, was
consolidated and in much better position than in 1994.
The government also accepted a decision according to
which disabled war veterans with total disability would be
presented with 18 new houses. Out of 112 houses which are to be
built for war invalids, 68 houses have been built so far.
