BELGRADE, 19 August (Hina) - Slightly before 8 P.M. on Monday,
Croatian and "FRY" Foreign Ministries concluded their talks on
the normalization of bilateral relations. Croatian Deputy
Foreign Minister Ivan Simonovic, "FRY" Foreign Minister Milan
Milutinovic and their associates failed to reach a complete
consensus on a draft of an agreement on normalization of
relations, due to be endorsed by the Foreign Ministers Mate
Granic and Milan Milutinovic on 23 August in Belgrade. Speaking
to the press during an interval on Monday, Mr. Simonovic said
debate of certain provisions of the agreement would continue
until 23 August.
"Minister Granic will come only once the two delegations
draft an agreement acceptable to both parties. Croatia is
interested in the quality of the agreement, not in how quickly it
will be signed," said Mr, Simonovic.
