SARAJEVO, 28 Aug (Hina) - The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) would soon start the reconstruction of 13,000 heavily damaged flats in Sarajevo. The project would cost seven million German marks and it would be
carried out in cooperation with the Sarajevo Institute for Reconstruction, UNHCR spokesman Kris Janowski told reporters on Wednesday.

Refugees (UNHCR) would soon start the reconstruction of 13,000
heavily damaged flats in Sarajevo. The project would cost seven
million German marks and it would be carried out in cooperation

Fitting glass on the windows would be completed by the end of
the month, Janowski said, adding that 360 square meters of glass
had been fitted on the windows in 42,000 flats and houses.
A similar project would soon be carried out in Gorazde, he
said adding that in next two months UNHCR would transport 25,000
square meters of glass to this eastern Bosnian town.
During 1996, UNHCR planned to set aside 86 million dollars for
the reconstruction of residential buildings in the whole of Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Janowski said.
