season in 1997, Croatian Tourism Minister Niko Bulic said at today's meeting with hotel managers and municipal leaders on the island of Hvar.
JELSA, 17 Aug (Hina) - This year's tourist season brought the
Croatian tourism back to Europe and world. Many were pessimistic
and did not believe in it back in May, but this year opened the
door for an even more successful tourist season in 1997, Croatian
Tourism Minister Niko Bulic said at today's meeting with hotel
managers and municipal leaders on the island of Hvar. #L#
Tourism had returned to many small Dalmatian towns, Bulic
said, adding that the areas of Istria and Kvarner would not make
90% of Croatian tourism any more since Dalmatia was beginning to
establish balance.
There have been 1, 413 000 overnight stays in Dalmatia so far.
