ZAGREB, Aug 9 (Hina) - Head of the Yugoslav Office in Zagreb,
Veljko Knezevic on Friday visited the '96 Summer School for
Croatian Serb schoolchildren in Peroj. He was accompanied by the
secretary general of the Serbian Cultural Society "Prosveta".
Knezevic met the chairman of Prosveta's commission for
education, Sinisa Tatalovic, Prosveta said in a statement.
Tatalovic stressed the school's importance for the educational
autonomy of the Serb community in Croatia, preseving the Serb
national identity and integration into Croatian society.
Knezevic stressed the need for more such projects which would
help Serbs preserve their identity and create conditions for normal
life, the statement said.
