PULA, Aug 7 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman returned to
Croatia on Wednesday evening after meeting Serbian President
Slobodan Milosevic in Athens at the invitation of Greek President
Costas Simitis.
"We have agreed on normalisation in all fields, which includes
the establishment of diplomatic relations," President Tudjman said
upon landing at the Pula airport.
"We discussed the possibility of both sides immediately
delivering data on missing persons," he said.
"We also discussed the Prevlaka issue, which presents a
problem to some, but not to us... we talked about how it should be
considered from the viewpoint of security in the area, which
includes both Boka Kotorska and Dubrovnik, in the spirit of a joint
effort to resolve all problems, including this one, by peaceful
means," Tudjman said.
"In a nutshell, we agreed to normalise all issues, all
problems that are still pending - from communications to economic
issues - which will facilitate and speed up the peaceful
reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area and have a positive
impact not only on the resolution of the situation in Bosnia-
Herzegovina in the spirit of the Dayton Agreement but also lay a
foundation for peace in the whole region of eastern Europe,"
Tudjman said.
