KNIN, August 5 (Hina) - Head of Police of the Croatian Ministry of
Defense Major General Ivan Tolj on Monday uncovered the
"Resurrected Croatia" monument in Knin, as part of marking the
Homeland Thanksgiving Day.
"Let this monument be in memory of the Croatian liberators
whose lives became part of Croatia's eternity", Tolj said, adding
that the monument stood as a symbol to 14 centuries of Croatia's
hardship and the resurrection and strength of the Croatian people.
Present at the event was also the Croatian government's
representative for Knin, Zvonimir Puljic.
"Resurrected Croatia" is the work of academic sculptor Josip
Vila.
