ZAGREB, July 15 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Monday held a
closed session at which it discussed a request from the Zagreb
Municipal Court that the government make a decision about the
immunity of a Croatian vice-premier Borislav Skegro in connection
to a private law suit filed against him by a reporter of the Rijeka
"Novi List" daily, Edita Vlahovic Zuvela.
She filed two legal actions against Skegro, for the
endangering of safety and for slander.
In line with the Law on Government, the government,decided to
releive Skegro of immunity, a statement from the government Public
Relations Office said.
At the last government session of July 7, Skegro had asked the
government to releive him of immunity in order to be able to appear
in court.
