Member of the Osijek County Administration, Branko Novak said
that activities in the field of economy had to be speeded up so
that Croatian companies could get hold of their property in the
area under UNTAES control in order to start agricultural
production.
Head of the Implementation Committee for Education and Culture
Ksenija Zbozil informed the session that there was a standstill in
talks with the Serb side due to their unacceptance of their status
as an ethnic minority.
She added that the Croatian side still had no information
about the state of schools in the Danubian area, so it could not
suggest priorities as regards the reconstruction of schools.
