SESSION $ ZAGREB, June 24 (Hina) - Working bodies of the Croatian Parliament House of Representatives held a session on Monday before the House continues its 10th session. #L# A Bill on the return and compensation for confiscated property which the government had forwarded for a second reading was removed from the agendas of most committees. At the start of the session of the Committee for the Constitution, Rule Book and Political System, president of the Committee, Vladimir Seks said that the view of representatives of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) was that the issue of denationalization should not be discussed at the 10th session of the House. The Committee for Interior Affairs and National Security supported the Bill on Counties, Towns and Municipalities in Croatia. The government entered into the Bill the results of the advisory referendum in Zagreb, i.e., that the Zagreb County and the city of Zagreb, which had been connected by law passed last year, should not be separated. A member of the Committee, Zlatko Canjuga, said that it was logical that the government respected the results of the advisory referendum, but he stressed that the issue of the city of Zagreb, that is, its organization, should be resolved in line with the Constitution. The Constitution stipulates that Zagreb had a special status. Canjuga said that an inactive for the separation of the city from the County, that is, prefect from the mayor, should be started. The HDZ would consider the best ways in which to sort out the relations between the city and the County, Canjuga said. (hina) lm jn 241630 MET jun 96
