CROATIAN FOREIGN MINISTERS MEETS NORWEGIAN COUNTERPART IN OSLO

OSLO, June 11 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic met his Norwegian counterpart Bjorn Tore Godal in Oslo on Tuesday morning for talks on arms control negotiations, the peace process in the former Yugoslavia, Croatia's admission to the Council of Europe and economic cooperation between Croatia and Norway. Godal thanked Granic for the constructive role Croatia had played in the negotiations on disarmament. The Norwegian minister agreed that elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the southwestern city of Mostar must be held according to schedule. The two ministers estimated that trade between their countries was on the increase. Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister Siri Bjerke will travel to Zagreb in two weeks' time, and after that Trade Minister Grete Knutsen and Industry Minister Jens Stoltenberg are also expected to visit Croatia.
