Steinberg said that progress had been made on both sides,
but it was still slower than the families of missing persons
deserved.
Steinberg also held talks with the Belgrade authorities and
promised that he would continue contacting the office of the
Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic. He conveyed requests of the
Serbian side.
"We presented the data which we had already submitted to the
Serbian side through the International Committee of the Red Cross
as regards missing persons, as well as our data on those persons
who are still in investigation prisons after the completion of
the military actions 'Storm' and 'Flash'", Kostovic said.
Kostovic said that he had told Mr Steinberg that the
Croatian side was ready to help international experts in the
identification of victims buried in a mass grave in Ovcara near
Vukovar.
