The U.S. Secretary of State invited Presidents Milosevic,
Izetbegovic and Tudjman to a meeting in Geneva on 2 June so that
the momentum of implementation of the Dayton peace agreement could
be maintained, State Department spokesman Nicholas Burns said.
The one-day meeting should also be attended by the high
representative for civilian affairs Carl Bildt, Contact Group
political directors, high officials of the Organisation for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and other international
organisations.
Along with his participation at a NATO ministerial meeting in
Berlin, Christopher is also to take part at a meeting of Contact
group foreign ministers on Bosnia-Herzegovina on 4 June.
Shortly before Christopher's departure for Europe, his
assistant John Kornblum would hold talks on Friday and Saturday in
Zagreb, Belgrade and Sarajevo with the presidents of the three
countries, Burns said.
