BUDAPEST, June 8 (Hina) - A two-day conference of presidents of
European parliaments closed in Budapest on Saturday. The meeting
brought together parliamentary delegations from 41 countries and
representatives of Europe's six most influential organizations.
The conference discussed integration processes in Europe,
the role of parliament in resolving social problems in market
economies and interparliamentary cooperation.
The Croatian delegation was headed by Parliament president
Vlatko Pavletic who told reporters after the conference that it
was a good chance for European countries to exchange experience
in the functioning of their parliaments in market economy
conditions.
