The town hall issued a statement which said that the
"barbarous shooting with an machine gun at an unarmed man is a
crime of the person who dared to press the trigger, and of the
political system which created such an attitude of its people
towards Croats and everything Croatian."
Under the Dayton Agreement, Bijelo Polje belongs to a Croat
municipality and is at the moment under Moslem control.
