The commander of Serb paramilitary units in the occupied area,
General Dusan Loncar, should order today the disbanding of his
units, Baric said, adding he still did not have information on
whether Loncar had issued such an order.
Stressing that the Serb side had submitted data on minefields,
ammunition depots and military equipment, Baric said that UNTAES
should take control of facilities which had been built before the
Serbian aggression, but also of those facilities which had been
built during the aggression.
The demilitarization process would include 3,000 to 5,000
members of paramilitary units, and a certain number of police
officers would be included in the Transitional Administration
police force. 'The second stage of the demilitarization will be
completed on 20 June at the latest, while the implementation
subcommittees should start inspection into what has been done in
the demilitarization process on 19 June', General Baric said.
