GENEVA CONFERENCE TO DISCUSS B-H ELECTIONS AND COOPERATION WITH HA

HA $ GUE TRIBUNAL GENEVA, 1 June (Hina) - Delegations of Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, B-H Federation and FR Yugoslavia would meet with the members of the Contact Group for BiH on Sunday at the permanent US mission to UN in Geneva. The aim is to speed up the peace process which began six months ago in Dayton. The delegations would be led by Franjo Tudjman, Alija Izetbegovic, Kresimir Zubak and Slobodan Milosevic. US State Secretary will be the official host. The other countries members of the Contact Group, Great Britain, France, Germany and Russia, will be represented by political directors of foreign ministries. The names of Serbian entity have still not been made public. The talks will begin with a morning meeting between diplomats and Dr. Mate Granic, Jadranko Prlic and Milan Milutinovic. Joint or separate meetings are slated in the afternoon at the American embassy. The main topic of the conference will be the implementation of the Dayton agreement. An unavoidable topic will be the creation of conditions for smooth elections in the entire Bosnia-Herzegovina in September. Another important topic is the cooperation with The Hague Criminal Tribunal. It is expected that the issue concerning the decision of the International arbitration in Brcko would also be initiated, as it hinders normal functioning of B-H Federation and the Croat-Bosnian relations. As President Tudjman announced today following his today's meeting in Zagreb with Assistant to US State Secretary John Kornblum, the Croatian representatives should discuss the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area. At the end of talks, Sunday late afternoon, Warren Christopher is expected to inform journalists on the outcome of the Geneva conference. (hina) jt 011544 MET jun 96
