DUBROVNIK, May 24 (Hina) - A US business delegation, currently on
a two-day visit to Dubrovnik, met Dubrovnik county and municipal
leaders on Friday for talks on promoting tourist cooperation
between the United States and Dubrovnik.
The US delegation, led by Assistant Commerce Secretaries
Raymond Vickery and Lauri Fitz-Pegado, arrived in Croatia last
Sunday to make preparations for a visit of Commerce Secretary
Mickey Kantor, scheduled for the beginning of July.
The talks with Dubrovnik County deputy prefect Luka Siljeg,
County Council president Vinko Brnadic and Mayor Nikola Obuljen
also focused on the opening of a centre in memory of the victims
of a US plane crash that had occurred near Dubrovnik in early
April.
The meeting was also attended by US Ambassador to Croatia
Peter Galbraith and Croatian Ambassador to the US Miomir Zuzul.
