Granic held talks today with the Deputy High Representative
for civilian issues in the Bosnian peace agreement, Michael
Steiner. The talks focused on the situation in the Croat-Muslim
Federation, in particular on its most important problem, Mostar
elections.
Steiner stated after the talks that 'he had a very intense
discussion with Granic on the elections in Mostar' and 'that he is
very encouraged by today's talks'.
Steiner declined to answer when asked whether Mostar elections
would be delayed, but added that the fact that he was satisfied
with today's talks spoke for itself.
