SARAJEVO, May 17 (Hina) - UN and IFOR representatives in Sarajevo
said on Friday that their cooperation with the Premier of the Serb

decision to remove him from his post, and would support him in his
duties. #L#
UN and IFOR were encouraged by the support given to Kasagic by
the international community and people in the Serb entity, UN
spokesman Aleksandar Ivanko said.
He added that the decision from Pale to appoint Aleksa Buha as
the head of the Serbian commission for cooperation with UN and IFOR
as substitute for Kasagic made no difference, Ivanko said.
IFOR spokesman in Sarajevo Max Marriner said that IFOR troops
had not been given a warrant for the protection of Kasagic and that
the reason for Thursday's presence of British troops in larger
numbers in Banja Luka had been the visit of NATO Secretary-General
Solana and General Joulwan.
Marriner said that at this time he could not say what IFOR's
reaction would be if there was an attempt of Kasagic's arrest.
Head of the OSCE mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina Robert Frowick
said that the conflict between Karadzic and Kasagic had dragged the
Serb entity into a new and important period. He stressed that the
international community and the OSCE strongly supported Premier
Kasagic.
